Delayed Harvest and Stocked Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report- November 14, 2017

Murray's Dark Miracle Stonefly Nymph, Murray's Miracle Yellow Stonefly Nymph and Murray's Caddis Larva
A very effective way to catch these trout is with a "Leisenring Lift" technique using the three nymph rig I mentioned last week. The Murray's Miracle Dark Stonefly Nymph size 12, Murray's Caddis Larva size 12 and Murray's Miracle Yellow Stonefly Nymph size 14. Here I position myself about thirty feet upstream and forty five degrees to the side of the deep pool I suspect holds the trout. I cast across stream and after the nymphs sink deeply I raise the rod tip slowly to swim the nymphs up toward the surface of the stream. I repeat this method every five feet as I wade slowly down the whole deep pool. Big Stoney Creek and the Bullpasture have many stretches of water that are productive with this technique.
