Mountain Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report- August 14, 2017

Murray's Oakworm Dry, Murray's Moth Dry and Murray's Horsefly
Murray's Flying Beetle
For this time of the summer the mountain trout streams are holding up well. To find the coolest water temperatures and the best fishing, get to the streams shortly after daylight before the sun raises the water temperatures. I am doing well with the Murray's Flying Beetle size 14 and size 16 in addition to the flies I discussed last week. These flies include Murray's Oakworm Dry size 16, Murray's Moth Dry size 16 and Murray's Housefly size 16. Using a stealthy hands and knees approach to each pool will help you catch the large trout.
