Mountain Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report - June 16, 2021

This year the Little Yellow Stonefly hatches are exceptionally heavy. Fish the Murray's Little Yellow Stonefly Dry size 16 along leaf jams and beside moss-covered rocks and you will catch many trout. Earlier this week I was checking out some of the different streams in the Shenandoah National Park and I did well on the Murray's Flying Beetle size 14 & 16. There is still some extra water running through these streams so you will have better success by coming in off the Skyline Drive.

For more information on these streams and access check out my book Trout Fishing in the Shenandoah National Park.
