Mountain Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report - March 21, 2019

Thursday evening update:  The Skyline Drive received some snow today and the lasted report is that the whole Skyline Drive is closed due to weather. Call 540-999-3500, option 1, option 1 for updates. We will post updates as we receive them.

The streams are warm enough now that many trout are feeding in the "corner" and "lip" feeding stations. (See page 31 of my revised edition book Trout Fishing in the Shenandoah National Park.) Since the Epeorus hatch is just developing you may consider fishing a dry fly with a nymph or emerger dropper. You can't go wrong with a Murray's Mr. Rapidan Parachute Dry size 14, Murray's Olive Drake Dry size 14, Mr. Rapidan Bead Head Nymph size 14 and Mr. Rapidan Emerger size 14.
