Harry Murray Smallmouth Bass Streams Fly Fishing

Smallmouth Bass Streams Fly Fishing Report- December 26, 2017

Murray's Magnum Hog Sucker Streamer, Murray's Magnum Creek Chub Streamer and Murray's Magnum Darter Streamer.
The mouths of the small feeder streams where they enter the large rivers are giving us good smallmouth bass fishing. These areas on the James River, North Fork of the Shenandoah River and South Fork of the Shenandoah River are all fishing well. In order to match the natural minnows which the smallmouth bass feed on here, I use the Murray's Magnum Hog Sucker Streamer size 4, Murray's Magnum Darter Streamer size 4 and Murray's Murray's Magnum Creek Chub Streamer size 4. I fish the mouths of these streams with a floating fly line but often use a sinking tip fly line to fish the main sections of the rivers for two hundred feet downstream of where the feeders enter.
