The drop off gravel bars leading away from the deep grassbeds along the banks are feeding stations for big bass. A very good tactic is to wade down the bank and cast a Murray's Heavy Shiner out into the deep water and strip it back up the drop off.
Other productive flies this week (per our customers and guides): Murray's Olive Marauder size 6 and Murray's Crayfish size 6. Fish all of these flies on a Bright Butt 9ft 2X Leader.
The rivers are getting low and clear so be very carefully when wading so that you do not spook the fish.
