Smallmouth Bass Streams Fly Fishing Report - October 24, 2019

Recommended Flies: The big bass are feeding on big minnows and using a Murray's Tungsten Cone Head Marauder in either black, olive, or pearl in size 4 will be productive.  Fish these flies in the deep slow water.  You might need to use your sink tip III line and sinking leader 2X leader.

 Stream Conditions:

The North Fork of the Shenandoah River is clear and fishable. Downstream from access #3, #4, or #5 on the North Fork have been doing well.  Wade slow and fish deeply.

The South Fork of the Shenandoah River is clear and fishable. Downstream from access #13 (Foster's Landing) has been productive.  For all public access, check out our marked map in the fly shop.
