Stocked Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report - April 4, 2019

The natural nymphs cut loose from the riffles are a great food for the trout.

Recommended Flies: A three fly rig of Murray's Skunk Roadkill size 8, Casual Dress #12, and Murray's Dark Stonefly Nymph size 12 will help you catch many trout. Place a micro shot above the bottom fly and a S.A. Indicator two feet above the top fly. Fish this across stream with a slow line hand twitching action.

Stream Conditions:  All of the local stocked trout streams and delayed harvest areas including Passage Creek (Fort Valley) and Big Stoney Creek (Edinburg) are clear and fishable.

Recommended Gear: I am using a Classic 9ft 4X Leader with a 7 1/2ft to 9ft fly rod with a 4 to 6 weight fly line.
