Stocked Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report - March 23, 2019

Stocked Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report - March 23, 2019

UPDATE for Saturday March 23--These streams are starting to clear.  They are full but fishable.

UPDATE for Thursday evening: Heavy rains occurred today and the local streams are now high and muddy. It will take a few days for them to clear and be fishable. We will post more updates as the levels drop.

Thursday morning report:  I am finding that a S.A. Sink Tip III line with a Murray's Sinking Fluorocarbon 6ft 3X Leader helps me fish my streamers deeply in the high streams we have now. Check back for updates as the rains might change the stream levels.

Productive streamers in these streams are the Shenandoah Ghost Streamer, Shenandoah Skunk Streamer, and Shenandoah Nine Three Streamer all in size 10. Fish these with a slow line hand stripping action below the riffles and in the deep pools.
